Food, Fun and Co-op Connections

All News

We're rolling out the welcome mat and inviting our members to join us for an evening of food, family fun, prizes and cooperative connections at San Patricio Electric Cooperative's Member Appreciation Event & Annual Meeting on Thursday, Sept. 10, at the San Patricio County Fairgrounds Civic Center in Sinton.

This year's event is getting a fresh new look. While we'll still conduct the cooperative's annual business meeting, we're expanding the evening into a community celebration that gives members and their families more opportunities to explore, learn and have fun together.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m., so come early and enjoy everything the event has to offer before the business meeting begins at 7 p.m.

Explore, Discover and Play

Whether you're a car enthusiast, a future lineman or just looking for a fun family outing, there will be something for everyone.

Get an up-close look at emergency vehicles and heavy equipment at our Touch-A-Truck area, where community partners will showcase the vehicles and equipment that help keep our communities running and protected.

Curious about electric vehicles? Stop by our EV Experience to get an up-close look at electric cars from Tesla and Aztec Chevrolet and learn how EV technology is changing the way people drive.

Want to be prepared for the next power outage? Visit our Resiliency Zone, where you'll find information about backup power options, emergency preparedness and tools that can help keep your family connected when severe weather strikes.

Families won't want to miss the Kids Power Zone, a dedicated area packed with activities designed to spark curiosity, encourage play and create plenty of smiles along the way.

Throughout the event, you'll also find interactive booths and exhibits where you can learn more about your cooperative, test your knowledge and earn chances to win prizes along the way.

Food, Gifts and Door Prizes

What’s a celebration without food? Members can enjoy a complimentary meal while visiting with friends, neighbors and cooperative employees. Additional details about meal service will be shared as the event approaches.

Members who attend will also receive a registration gift while supplies last. And that's just the beginning.

Members can win prizes by participating in activities throughout the event, and we'll be giving away door prizes all evening long. The more you explore, the more chances you'll have to take home something extra.

Your Cooperative, Your Voice

While we're adding more fun and interactive elements, the Annual Meeting remains an important cooperative tradition. Members will hear updates on the cooperative's performance, financial health and future plans, as well as participate in the democratic process that makes electric cooperatives unique.

Board elections will be held for Districts 2 and 6, along with District 5 and the Director-at-Large position to fill the remainder of unexpired terms. Ballots will be mailed and emailed on August 12, and the deadline to cast your ballot is 5 p.m. on September 2.

Watch for More Details

More details will come in your September issue of Texas Co-op Power. And be sure to watch our website and Facebook page for additional information as the event approaches.

We look forward to seeing you on September 10 as we celebrate the power of cooperative membership.
