Pay your bill, report outages through the SmartHub Mobile App


San Patricio Electric Cooperative’s SmartHub tool is a robust website and mobile app with some great features. By using this account management tool, you can pay your electric bill, report outages, keep track of your electricity usage and manage your account information.

While the SmartHub website offers the largest breadth of features and information, the mobile app offers the convenience of account management at your fingertips.

Take a look at some of the key features provided on the SmartHub mobile app:

Bill & Pay is one of the most popular features on the SmartHub mobile app.  In this section, you can pay your monthly electric bill electronically, sign up for automatic payments or store payment information for ease of use in the future.

In addition, you can view an electronic copy of your bill, including past bills, as well as your payment history.


Report an Outage

The SmartHub app makes reporting a power outage easy. Once you’re logged in, there’s no need to remember an account number. Just press Report an Outage, verify your location and submit. You also have the option to add comments to your report. Adding a helpful comment, perhaps that you saw a pole down, can help direct our linemen to the cause of the outage.


View Electricity Use Data

You can keep track of how much electricity you’re using in the My Usage section of the app. From there, you can see your electricity usage by year, month, day or even hour. It also shows you the average temperature, so you can monitor how your electricity bill changes with the weather.

As you look through the data, keep in mind that our billing period runs a bit behind, from the 24 of one month to the 24 of the next month. So, the bill you receive at the beginning of June is for electricity that you used from April 24 to May 24.

If you view unbilled usage, you’ll see the electricity usage data that has not yet been provided on a bill.


How to download the app

SPEC’s SmartHub app is available for both iOS and Android devices. To download the free app, visit the Apple App store, or Google Play Store, and search for SmartHub. Once it’s downloaded, you can search for San Patricio Electric by name or by using your ZIP code. Then, if you already have a SmartHub account, you can simply login. Otherwise, click “New User” to setup your account. Setting up a new account should take just a few minutes.
