Sinton Outage Affects 250 Members, SPEC's Office

We had a power outage in the Sinton area around 3:30 a.m. that affected about 250 members. Foggy conditions made it difficult to spot the problem, but our lineman had power restored for all members around 7:00 in the morning.

The power outage also affected SPEC’s office and the co-op’s generator did not work as it should have. This caused SPEC’s phone and email systems to go down. Also because of the outage, calls were not immediately re-routed to the co-op’s after-hours call center.

Some of our members may have had trouble reporting their outage and we apologize for the inconvenience. As of 8:45 a.m. our email system is back up and running and phone calls are now being routed to the call center. However, the SPEC office phone system is still not working.
